The birth of Fibers Ever After began as a seedling of an internal tug of war that sprung forth and eventually blossomed through a 30 year career in interior design.
A fascination with the radiant beauty and joy textiles offer and the vibrant life they bring was overshadowed by the observation of waste.
An appreciation of the incredible talent, skill in the well thought out designs of each textile and how they present endless possibilities of uplifting, light filled solutions, was also anchored by a shadow of the excess potentially ending up in the environment.
There came a time when this weight no longer allowed me to continue in the industry without bringing forth a solution and thus, the concept for Fibers Ever After was born.
A desire to sustainably utilize remnants or unused portions of exquisite textiles, to create three dimensional, functional art for home and person.
The love of home décor began at an early age.
Introduced to textile arts and skill of sewing by my maternal grandmother, who was a gifted artisan, she also passed on a love for Mid Century, Danish Modern and the Floral Arts.
Also influenced by my Mother who favored the more ornate and Victorian periods and Sister with a love of French Country, the women in my life have instilled in me a truly diverse appreciation for multiple design eras and the items within.
